Utility Distribution Operator
(PERMANENT FULL-TIME)
The City of Trail’s Public Works Department is seeking a motivated, team orientated individual to fill the full-time position of Utility Distribution Operator.
Reporting to the Utilities Superintendent, the incumbent will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the City’s Water Distribution and Wastewater Collection Systems.
Qualifications for this position include:
- EOCP Water Distribution Level II
- Must have a minimum of 1-year municipal water distribution experience on a Class 1 system or higher.
- Must have working knowledge of municipal wastewater collection systems and components. Certification through EOCP in wastewater collection is desirable
- Valid BC Class 3 Drivers License with air endorsement.
- Current Level I First Aid certification.

The wages for this CUPE Local 2087 position are based on current EOCP certification level which range from $37.23 to 38.92 per hour (2023 rate) and benefits are as per the Collective Agreement.
